I hadn’t heard much about Victory Records’ band, Wretched, aside from the fact that they were on the tour and releasing a new album. Upon looking at their Facebook page, they were described as “sonic mayhem … leaving [the listener] with a craving for more”. I thought, “that’s a pretty high bar to set” – and they lived up to every bit of it.

Being an opener for a seven band show can’t be easy.  Half the crowd hasn’t arrived yet, and chances are everyone’s at the merch tables. By the end of their set, everyone in the building had migrated to the stage to see who they were hearing and loving. Wretched blew everyone’s ears, in a good way, and certainly did leave the crowd wanting more.  As a band, they had one of the strongest connections that I’ve ever seen, with everything flowing smoothly and naturally. From power riffs to melodic transitions to singer Adam Cody’s vocals, they’re a band not to be missed.
