Band Feature: Let It Happen
Many people think nothing exciting comes out of the state of Ohio. If you look past some of the more popular acts, such as The Devil Wears Prada and Miss May I, you’ll notice a high-energy pop rock band with catchy lyrics and talent that cannot be passed up.
Let It Happen, from Cincinnati, Ohio, formed in 2009 and didn’t waste time getting things together. A fan base quickly grew as they played local shows as often as they could. Drew Brown leads the group with guitar and lead vocals, Sean Highley keeps the beat with the drums, Michael Vogel is the lead guitarist as well as vocals, and Nathan Joiner takes care of the bass. Sean keeps it simple and to the point when describing the band by saying, “We’re just honest dudes making honest music!”
The band recorded their new EP, “It Hurts, But It’s Worth It”, which features “Bridges”, a catchy single with a pretty entertaining music video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ctOiPpk9ov4). Bryan Beeler produced the EP, and he has also worked with Chiodos, The Swellers, and more.
I’m sure we can expect much from these guys in the next coming year. If you’re from the Ohio area, you can catch them on April 27th in Dayton at The Attic ,and April 28th in Tiffin at Tiffin University.
