Band Feature: Taking Hayley
Taking Hayley are a pop-rock four-piece band hailing from Birmingham, UK who are made up of Alistair Keenan (lead vocals, lead guitar), Levi Keeling (rhythm guitar, backing vocals), Tom Paton (bass, backing vocals) and Jay Murphy (drums). Forming in 2010, their first ever gig was to a sold out o2 Academy 3 venue, and they have since been on many UK tours since.
Taking influence other bands such as You Me At Six, Kids in Glass Houses, 30 Seconds to Mars and All Time Low, their sound is certainly a mix of differing tastes of each 4 members. This is apparent in their single, “Circles”, which has made been aired on ‘Kerrang!’, ‘Scuzz’ and ‘Lava’, helping them gain a vast amount of fans .This also shows in the 10,000+ likes on their facebook page. And after taking part in this year’s Bedroom Jam, the band have been greeted with an ever-increasing fan base. ‘Tricks and Games’, their debut album has recently been released and is currently available on iTunes for download and their own website for physical cds.
Spending September on their largest UK tour yet, it won’t be long before this talented band will really be hitting the big time. So if I were you, I’d check them out! What’s stopping you?!
