Band Feature: New Navy

New Navy are a four-piece hailing from Sydney, Australia. They released their first EP, Uluwatu, last year, and have since been hailed – by publications such as NME – as ‘one to watch’ in the coming year. So how did a band with a single four-track release under their belts manage to grab so many peoples attention?

 Their music manages to encapsulate the vibes of summer – infectious beats, breezy melodies, and catchy refrains meld together to form the bands unique sound. Their most recent track – a cover of French electronic trio Télépopmusik’s Breathe – can be found (and downloaded) below.

The band are currently writing and recording new material, in preparation to take it out on the road. After such an acclaimed first release, the only question that remains is what will New Navy achieve next? Rest assured I’ll be paying rapt attention. Will you?
