Show Review: Walk the Moon

Show Review: Walk the Moon

Although they are on tour in Europe with fun. at the moment, Walk the Moon did a short Summer tour this past August, and I was able to catch a show when they came through Cleveland.

I have been a fan of the Cincinnati-based group for quite sometime now, so it was a real treat to see them perform a rip-roaring, energetic set that kept me dancing like a lunatic the entire time.

The band, who had recently released their album ‘Walk the Moon’, performed a handful of songs; some were old tunes, and some were new ones.  The crowd was treated to rousing renditions of “Shiver Shiver”, “Tightrope”,  ”I Can Lift a Car”, and their anthem “Anna Sun” amongst several others.

What was most evident about Walk the Moon’s set was, as I stated, the energy behind every note sung, every chord played, and every instance of involving the audience.  All four members of the band were constantly hopping around, encouraging the crowd to get on their feet and dance, and even grooving around on stage themselves.  They played with fervor.  They played with passion.  They played with such a spirit that made every person in the venue act alive and let loose.

It was a real pleasure finally getting to experience Walk the Moon live, and I can only hope that they make another stop in Cleveland on their tour this Fall.
