Band Feature: Thought Beneath Film
Words by: Bo Bayerl
Not to be confused with the Emily Dickinson poem, the five-piece Indie/Pop/Rock group Thought Beneath Film has recently made its musical debut. Hailing from Hamilton, Canada, the group is made up of Brent Wirth on vocals and guitar, Brian Wirth on guitar and synth, David Lindsay on guitar and backing vocals, CJ Ricottone on bass and backing vocals, and Matt Foster on drums.
Back in July, the band released its first EP entitled ‘Detours’ that offers many hooks and extremely catchy choruses along with a poppy, carefree feel. When listening to this band, “you can bend your ear one-way and you may hear sterling hook-drive, guitar pop – bend it another and you may discover a band with a penchant for noise-inflicted pop.”
In the next couple years, expect to see Thought Beneath Film on tour, as they continue to work on their first full-length album. Soon enough, their songs’ catchy choruses and slight pop tone will be blasting from radios everywhere.
Check them out on their official website! Also, be sure to check them out on Twitter and Facebook.
